Terms of Service

1. Introduction and acceptance

Glance (“Glance”, “we”, “us”) is a macOS application and related online services operated by an independent developer at mcreator.ai. These Terms govern your use of the Glance app, the website at https://glancepreview.com, the Glance account service, and the cloud AI Widgets (together, the “Service”).

By downloading Glance, creating an account, purchasing Glance Pro or credits, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or have permission from a parent or guardian), that you have read and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Glance is an image and video viewer for macOS. You can view, browse and compare images and video, capture frames and screenshots, process files locally with built-in tools, and send selected media to cloud AI Widgets that return a modified result (for example upscaling, outpainting or background removal). Glance is a digital product: the app is delivered by download, and Pro features and credits are delivered immediately after a confirmed payment.

Cloud AI Widgets rely on third-party AI models and processing services. Current capabilities include generation and editing from input images, image description, and watermark inpainting for existing videos. Glance does not currently offer a text-to-image or image-to-video Widget. The public AI Model Disclosure lists each Widget’s model, version information and processing service, including entries awaiting provider confirmation. No login is required to read it. AI processing uses RunningHub (runninghub.cn); image hosting uses Freeimage.host and Cloudflare R2. The availability of these providers can affect the Service.

3. Accounts

Viewing, compare, capture and the trial work without an account. Cloud Widgets and purchases require an account, created with Google sign-in or an email verification code. Keep your sign-in method secure, keep your email address current, and tell us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Plans, trial and credits

• Free. Viewing images and video, compare, capture (including saving and copying the capture), image text recognition and copying, and cloud AI Widgets paid with credits. Free forever.
• Trial. A 14-day trial of all local features starts on first launch. It requires no account or payment method and never converts into a charge. Each Mac and each account receives one trial.
• Glance Pro. A one-time purchase that unlocks the local toolbox (conversion, compression, export and copy, editing, Base64 and future local tools) with lifetime free feature updates and a one-time bonus of 100 credits. Pro is sold in tiers that only differ in how many Macs one account may activate at the same time (currently 1 or 2). A higher tier can be bought later as an upgrade at its full price. Cloud AI Widgets are not included in Pro.
• Credits. Credits pay for cloud AI Widget runs at the per-run price shown in the app and on the AI Widgets page. New accounts receive 100 credits once; the new-account bonus is also limited to once per Mac. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and do not expire while your account exists.

Current prices are listed on the Pricing page. We may change prices for future purchases; a price change never affects an order you already paid for or a task already accepted.

5. Billing and payment

Every purchase is a single, one-time payment. Glance has no subscriptions and never charges you automatically. By completing checkout you authorize the amount shown at checkout.

Payments are processed by Pancake by Waffo, which acts as the Merchant of Record and reseller for Glance orders, collects payment and handles applicable sales taxes. Prices are shown tax-inclusive. CNY orders are paid with WeChat Pay; USD orders can be paid with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay or WeChat Pay. We never receive or store your full card details.

A purchase is complete only after the payment provider confirms it to our server. Returning from the checkout page alone does not complete a purchase. If you are unsure whether a payment went through, do not pay again; contact us with your order number.

6. Credit charges for AI Widgets

• Credits are deducted when our server accepts a task.
• Credits are refunded in full automatically if the task fails on our side, exceeds 3 processing attempts, waits more than 30 minutes in the queue, or is cancelled by you before processing starts.
• Cancelling a task after processing has started is not refunded.
• A result you are unhappy with is not automatically refunded. Contact us and we will review it.
• If the price of a Widget changes, you are asked to confirm the new price before anything is charged.

7. Refunds

Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy. In short: Glance Pro is refundable in full within 14 days; credit packs are refundable in full within 14 days if none of their credits have been used. Statutory consumer rights in your country are not affected.

8. Licence and devices

Glance Pro grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Pro features on as many Macs as your tier allows, signed in to your account at the same time. You may release a Mac yourself up to 3 times in any 30 days. Pro keeps working offline for up to 30 days. You may not share, resell or sublicense your licence or account.

9. Your content and AI output

Files you open in Glance stay on your Mac. When you run a cloud Widget, you grant us a limited licence to transmit, store and process the selected media only to provide that Widget and its result. We do not use your media to train AI models. You own the results you create, to the extent the law allows, and you are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload.

AI output may be inaccurate, may differ from the original, and is generated or modified by AI. Review it before relying on or publishing it, and do not present it as unedited when that would mislead others.

10. Acceptable use

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. It prohibits, among other things, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual or sexualized imagery of real people, deepfakes and impersonation, removing watermarks or copyright marks from content you do not own, and any illegal use.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account, remove content, cancel pending tasks and forfeit credits obtained through abuse if you materially breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, commit fraud, file chargebacks for valid charges, or if the law requires it. If we terminate your account for reasons other than your breach, we will refund unused credits and, within the refund window, Pro. You may stop using Glance at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected]; unused credits are forfeited when an account is deleted at your request unless the law requires otherwise.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability or accuracy of AI output. Beta versions may contain bugs; keep backups of important files.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it.

14. Billing disputes and governing law

If you think a charge is wrong, contact [email protected] before disputing it with your bank. We reply within 2 business days and fix confirmed billing errors within 5 business days. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of residence, without limiting mandatory consumer protections where you live. We will first try to resolve any dispute informally.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes are announced on this page and, where we have your email, by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
